FIXT Store Inks Deal with IRIS Distribution, Set to Add Over 200+ Electronic Labels to Retail Offerings

Detroit, MI - FIXT has just secured a retail distribution alliance with San Francisco-based IRIS Distribution for FiXT's expanding digital store - FIXT Store (www.fixtstore.com). The deal will bring such labels as NINJA TUNE, METROPOLIS, HYMEN, ANT-ZEN, BIG DADA and PROJEKT to name a few into FiXT's online retail space, and feature a variety of groundbreaking electronic, industrial, drum & bass, dubstep, glitch and experimental artists & producers. The volume of content is matched only by the powerful reputation & calibre of artists that come included with the deal, such as Amon Tobin, Apoptygma Berzerk, Attrition, The Birthday Massacre, Bonobo, The Cinematic Orchestra, Coldcut, Combichrist, Diplo, Front 242, Front Line Assembly, Hecq, Herbaliser, Hexstatic, IAMX, Icon of Coil, Julien-K, Juno Reactor, KMFDM, Meat Beat Manifesto, Mr. Scruff, The Qemists, VNV Nation, Wagon Christ, and many more. In total, there are over 200 labels included in the deal with more to be added in the future. Content should begin appearing live in the FIXT Store in early May, 2010.

FIXT to Release Latest Blue Stahli Single "Corner" on Tues, April 27th

"Corner", Blue Stahli's sixth single, is the last stop before the artist's full length album comes later this year. Corner exhibits all we've come to expect from Stahli. Menacing bass-line grooves set the scene for huge metal guitar riffs, and Bret's agile vocal work will in one moment match the aggressiveness of the guitar attack but in the next will contrast it with smooth melody. And, once again, top-notch production and electronic flourishes take what would be simply a great rock song and bring it up to a level of hybrid wonder that says, in no uncertain terms, that Stahli is more than worthy of your attention.

Moonitor - To The Past, From The Future, In The Present

Hot on the heels of his Squarehead album, EBM/electro mastermind Sebastian Komor presents his full length Moonitor project. Over a decade in the making, Moonitor evolved out of some of Komor's earliest experimentation with electronic music in the mid 90s but was shelved in favor of his membership in the critically acclaimed Icon of Coil. Now, at last, these tracks have been dusted off and finished, and have generated brand new material alongside. Komor mixes elements of EBM, progressive house, trance, and even breakbeat and world music to create a unique experience within the world of electronic music. With smooth house beats, steady electro synth lines, and the distinctive influence of world tribal styles (even a didgeridoo makes an appearance), Moonitor acts as the psychedelic counterpoint to the aggressive and gritty hard techno of Squarehead.

The album features 16 tracks, with 2 bonus, album-only, tracks available exclusively through the FiXT Store, clocking in at over 100 minutes of audio for the standard version and over 116 minutes with the inclusion of the bonus tracks.

Crunch Pod was founded in 1998 by Ben Arp, also the man behind the label's most active signing, C/A/T. Crunch Pod releases music spanning Industrial, Power Noise, EBM, and even Ambient Noise. The FiXT Store has just announced a new Podsafe & YouTube Safe music licensing program, offering free use of eligible MP3s from the FiXT Store for podcasts and YouTube videos that meet the following use criteria:

Non-Commercial Use Only
Non-Profit Use Only
Online Use Only (no Radio or TV, etc...)
Must Provide Audio or On-Screen Credit

Eligible MP3s:
• Any Album/MP3 Purchased From the FiXT Store that has the "Podsafe/YouTube Safe" message on the product page.

As we begin the new year at FIXT we realized that a lot of you may be a little confused about the domain fixtonline.com. Most obviously it's dormancy over the past year as we've focused on the FiXT Store and FIXT Remix. As we work towards an official overhaul on the site, we decided we could at least make it a little more up to do by using it as the new official FiXT Company Blog that covers general Company News and more frequent looks at what we're up to behind the scenes.
